BERKELEY -- With top punt returner Keenan Allen in dispose finishing a final paper for summer school, the California football team worked mainly on field goals and kickoffs during the lengthy special teams sessions on Thursday.

While no full-scale kick returns were run, kickers Benjamin Calder, Vince D'Amato and Noah Beito each got in some work kicking the longball, as well as field goals.
Returning simulated kicks from the Juggs machine were Brendan Bigelow, Daniel Lasco, Isi Sofele, Cedric Dozier, Mike Manuel and Chris Harper.

The Bears ran full-scale field goal installation towards the end of the day, with D'Amato showing good leg -- coming up just three yards short on a 55-yarder and splitting the uprights on a 31-yarder.
Calder showed off a big leg on kickoffs, regularly booting his drives inside the 15-yard line.
