USC-Cal Free Predictor Contest

With the USC-Cal game less than a week away, it is once again time for BearTerritory fans to see if they can pick the winner and the exact outcome of the game in our fourth Free Predictor Contest of the season. This is a simple competition that challenges fans to predict the upcoming November 10th game at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley. The winner will never forget this prize, as it includes 23 Golden Bear signatures.
As most fans know by now, this is one of the toughest competitions to win. Only once in the history of our contests – which have covered both football and basketball games over the past two seasons – has ever resulted in an exact score prediction.

Why is it so tough to pick a game right? That's because anything can happen in the Pac-10. Just consider some of the home losses in the conference, as Stanford topped the aforementioned Trojans in Los Angeles, Oregon lost in Eugene to Cal, and the Bears dropped a backbreaker to Oregon State in Berkeley.
In this tilt, both USC and Cal, who battle from time to time for recruits across the Golden State, are looking to gain bragging rights over the other while also improving their bowl opportunities. Both programs have suffered some crushing defeats in 2007 – there's no question about that. USC was the No. 1 ranked team in the country before losing to Stanford, and then dropped a tough one to surging Oregon in Eugene recently. Cal lost three in a row after earning the No. 2 ranking in the country. The Bears were nearly No. 1, but the Beavers held on by a matter of yards, after which UCLA and Arizona State pushed to wins in emotional home games for both the Bruins and Sun Devils.
That's left USC and Cal in search of a season turn-around win; a victory that will put both programs back in to high gear down the stretch.
So can you predict the game? Give it a shot - it is completely free. All you have to do is give BearTerritory a 7-day Free Trial shot.
The overall winner (which is who predicts the game as closely as possible, meaning both the correct winner and the final score) will receive one of the most unique Cal memorabilia items ever produced; one (1) 28-page 2007 Calography signed by none other than California head coach Jeff Tedford. That's right, an autographed version. Only 15 serial numbered, signed, and authenticated segments were ever produced, so this is truly a very limited album.
Unlike the past contests though, the 2007 Calography that will be awarded to the winner of this week's contest is truly special. Though only 15 signed Coach Tedford copies exist, just two of those 15 were also signed by the entire 2007 Cal recruiting class (all prep players), which means the winner will receive an extremely rare Calography. From the signatures of immediate impact recruits like running back Jahvid Best, cornerback Chris Conte, and defensive end Cameron Jordan, to the future Golden Bear standouts like quarterback Brock Mansion, running back Shane Vereen, and safety D.J. Campbell, this one has it all. As an additional note, this will be the only completely signed copy to be in a BearTerritory contest, so this is a one of a kind chance.
The 2007 Calography is not just a simple collection of images. A 28-page recruiting bio and photo guide of the entire 2007 Cal Recruiting Class, the segment is printed on 11 x 17 high-glossy black photo paper which is bound on the left hand side of each print. It captures every future Golden Bear prospect in a different light, while also denoting their individual prep backgrounds and Rivals rankings. The signed copies feature a photo of Coach Tedford signing the segment, plus a certificate of authenticity.
What did the Cal football staff think about the segment?
"This is one very impressive piece – extremely well done. It has our entire class, and they are absolutely phenomenal pictures too. The size of this document is powerful. It could easily be a centerpiece for our recruiting class. Terrific job." – California head coach Jeff Tedford
"This is big-time work. I've never seen anything like this. Honestly, this is just really cool." – Assistant Coach Ron Gould
