Tennessee-Cal Predictor Contest

With the Tennessee-Cal game less than a week away, it is time for BearTerritory fans to see if they can pick the winner and the exact outcome of the game in our first Predictor Contest of the season. This is a simple competition that challenges fans to predict the upcoming September 1st game at Memorial Stadium in Berkeley.
Think you can nail the game? Over the past 5 college football seasons, the SEC has won 6 of the 10 match-up's between both conferences, including most of the games over the past 3 seasons. However, the Pac-10 is as loaded as any conference in the country in 2007. The Bears will certainly have home-field advantage, plus some revenge on their minds. Additionally, opponents have to respect Cal's talented aerial attack, which features All-American wide receiver DeSean Jackson, who will combine to give the Bears a significant Special Teams playmaker.

There's no question that Tennessee also has a number of weapons. The Volunteer defense is always extremely quick, and with talented quarterback Erik Ainge brimming with confidence after he tossed 4 touchdowns agains the Bears last year, Cal will be given a significant early season test. A year after beating the Bears 35-18 at home, how will the Volunteers respond to a team that is once again ranked higher than them in the early season polls?
So can you predict the game? Give it a shot - it is completely free.
The overall winner (which is who predicts the game as closely as possible, meaning both the correct winner and the final score) will receive one of the most unique Cal memorabilia items ever produced; one (1) 28-page 2007 Calography signed by none other than California head coach Jeff Tedford. That's right, an autographed version. Only 15 serial numbered, signed, and authenticated segments were ever produced, so this is truly a very limited album.
The 2007 Calography is not just a simple collection of images. A 28-page recruiting bio and photo guide of the entire 2007 Cal Recruiting Class, the segment is printed on 11 x 17 high-glossy black photo paper which is bound on the left hand side of each print. It captures every future Golden Bear prospect in a different light, while also denoting their individual prep backgrounds and Rivals rankings. The signed copies feature a photo of Coach Tedford signing the segment, plus a certificate of authenticity.
What did the Cal football staff think about the segment?
"This is one very impressive piece – extremely well done. It has our entire class, and they are absolutely phenomenal pictures too. The size of this document is powerful. It could easily be a centerpiece for our recruiting class. Terrific job." – California head coach Jeff Tedford
"This is big-time work. I've never seen anything like this. Honestly, this is just really cool." – Assistant Coach Ron Gould
