Samuels coming to Cal

One of the hardest hitting cornerbacks in the country is officially coming to Cal. Lynwood (Calif.) cornerback Vachel Samuels, who can drop his shoulder and deliver a blow with the best of defenders in this recruiting class, becomes the third and final piece of arguably Cal's best ever defensive back class. Samuels' senior season was cut short due to injury, but there's no doubt the Bears are getting a major player in the coming years.
For Samuels Jr., the 2008 football season ended much too quickly. With a 36-0 lead in their 4th game of the season, and already a 2-0-1 start to the season, the Lynwood (Calif.) high school standout took a pitch up the sidelines. Less than 5 seconds later out of bounds, his lower leg was rolled up on from behind, causing a hairline fracture of Samuels Jr. tibia.
BearTerritory.net will have much more on Samuels' signing in the coming hours.
