2020 RB Target Milton Talks Cal, Toler, and Visit

While he did not compete in Sunday's Rivals Camp Series in Hayward, 2020 RB Kendall Milton made an appearance early, and spoke to GoldenBearReport.com about his Saturday visit to Berkeley. Milton will end up being one of the top players in the 2020 class, boasts 25 offers ranging from coast to coast, and is already the top running back in the class on the west coast. Cal RB coach Burl Toler offered Milton early, as Toler had been recruiting him since his time at Fresno State, and Milton got to sit down with his prospective RB coach Saturday.

"It was great, being able to sit down with coach Toler," Milton said, "because he's recruited me when he was at Fresno State and since he started at Cal. Being able to meet up with him and the whole coaching staff, it was amazing to see what they have, to build."

Milton's coach at Buchanan HS happens to be one of Toler's former teammates, former Cal safety Matt Giordano, which has helped Toler in recruiting the likely 5-star running back.

"He's kinda made a point to talk to me through coach Giordano," Milton said, "when coach Toler wants to talk, he'll call coach Giordano and be like, 'hey, send Kendall, tell him to call me.' So I've been able to keep in touch with coach Toler quite often."

Milton was offered by Cal back at the beginning of February, he's seen his recruitment take off since then, but Toler is making sure the Bears are a heavy part of his recruitment in the early going, and has made sure Milton knows the history of players going to the pros from Cal

"It's been great being offered by him, since I learned this yesterday," Milton noted, "Cal has produced a bunch of players into the NFL, which is a big thing for me, and getting offered by them, especially them being a huge academic school, it's a big deal to me."

With that academic bent, Milton wants to major in business and finance, and the Bears made sure that the Haas School of Business was a part of his visit.

"I learned that they have a huge business school," Milton said ,"they took me to a tour of the whole campus. The business school, they said it was the number one public business institution in the country. That was huge, because that's what I want to major in, that was one of the big things that stood out to me."
