UPDATE: In the regular season finale, the Cal basketball team came out strong and stayed consistent for the entire 40 minutes against rival Stanford, leading by as many as 28 points on Saturday before finally putting the Cardinal away, 74-55.
The Bears now improve to 17-13 overall and 10-8 in the Pac-10, likely sewing up the No. 4 seed in this weekend's Pac-10 tournament.

Senior Markhuri Sanders-Frison tallied his seventh double-double of the season (and the seventh of his career) with 13 points and 13 rebounds on Senior Night.
"That's one of the key roles I play: a role of leadership for the young guys," Sanders-Frison said. "The young guys are doing a great job, and they've got a bright future."
One of those youngsters, true freshman Allen Crabbe, scored a game-high 24 points and added nine boards and five assists. Crabbe shot 10-of-13 from the floor, 1-of-2 from three and 3-of-3 from the line.
"I think that young man is playing at a very high level right now, and so is Harper Kamp," said Stanford leading scorer Jeremy Green. "You can see the progress that they've made (this season), I think some of that showed tonight."
Aside from Crabbe and Sanders-Frison, junior power forward Kamp contributed 20 points on 9-of-12 shooting and 2-of-3 from the line. He pulled down five boards and tossed in an assist.
The only Stanford player to score in double-figures was Green, who scored 19 points on 5-of-10 shooting, 3-of-7 from three and 6-of-7 from the line. He scored just five points after half.
In contrast, Crabbe scored 21 of his 24 after the break.
Junior guard Jorge Gutierrez only scored eight points, but pulled down three boards, dished out a game-high seven assists and swiped a game-high four steals.
