Ryan Gorcey as the Bears (10-9, 3-4 in the Pac-10) host
Oregon State (8-10, 3-4) in the opener of a four-game home stand at Haas Pavilion. Cal tips off at 8 pm.
The game will be televised live on Fox Sports Net and Comcast Sports Net Bay Area. On your radio dial, you can find the game at KNEW 910 AM, Sirius 121 and XM 141.
Some quick notes during the warm-up:
True freshman
Alex Rossi took some threes more than an hour before game time, and made 10 to 11 threes in a row, the only miss coming off of a bad pass. Encouraging signs, but with more than half the season gone, it doesn't look like the team would burn his redshirt.
Rossi's recruiting classmate
Allen Crabbe is averaging just under 17.0 points per game in conference play.
Tonight's projected lineup for Cal is a familiar one: Crabbe, point guard
Brandon Smith, power forward
Harper Kamp, center
Markhuri Sanders-Frison and shooting guard
Jorge Gutierrez.
Preliminary lineup for the Beavers shakes out with 6-foot-4, 182-pound sophomore shooting guard
Jared Cunningham; 6-foot-3, 188-pound senior guard
Calvin Haynes; 6-foot-9, 220-pound senior power forward
Omari Johnson at the top of Oregon State's 1-3-1 zone; 6-foot-8, 246-pound senior forward
Daniel Deane and 6-foot-3, 188-pound redshirt freshman guard
Roberto Nelson.
