Forsett Preview

To open our Cal football off-season coverage, the first interview BearTerritory set-up was with Cal senior tailback Justin Forsett. One of the most talked about individuals in the program over the past 3 years, with teammates and coaches raving about his ability, humility, and leadership role, Forsett was our No. 1 target.
Before we feature our Forsett article in its entirety, BearTerritory is proud to highlight Forsett with an excerpt from the story, as well as a photo gallery of one of the nation's top returning rushers.

A player that Cal running back coach Ron Gould said is thoroughly prepared, humble, accountable, intelligent, and one of the most "coachable" individuals he's ever been around, Forsett stands to have a stellar 2007 season.
"Those were some mighty big holes against A&M," Forsett laughed, reflecting on his 8-carry, 125-yard Holiday Bowl performance against the Aggies. "But that's behind us now. My goal next year is to be the starting tailback in the National Championship."
That last statement from Forsett stands not only as one of the most powerful quotes Cal fans will hear this spring and fall from any player, but a true belief throughout the program. It is a leadership statement, and as the on-the-field leader of the Bears running back core, Forsett is fully aware of the gap between his experience and the newcomers.
Look for BearTerritory's Forsett feature over the weekend. In the meantime, here's a gallery of the former Texas prep star in Black and White like you've never seen him before.
