Cal gets by Utah

SALT LAKE CITY (AP) -- Harper Kamp scored 17 points and Jorge Gutierrez added 12 as California defeated Utah 60-46 Thursday night for its sixth straight victory over the Utes.
The first-place Golden Bears (23-6, 13-3) kept alive their Pac-12 regular-season title hopes, with remaining games at Colorado on Sunday and at Stanford on March 4.

Cal handed the Utes (5-22, 2-13) an 81-45 loss on Jan. 14.
This one was much closer, at least early. Utah led 10-8, and was within 22-18 with 5 minutes left in the half before Cal went on a 13-5 run.
A 3-pointer at the buzzer by Justin Cobbs gave Cal a 35-23 halftime lead.
Utah got within 46-39 on a 3-pointer by Chris Hines and a running jumper by Jason Washburn midway through the second half. But Cal responded with a 7-0 run to bump its lead back to 14.
Hines led Utah with 15 points.
