Cal has their final scheduled home game of the 2020 campaign against 3-1 Oregon Saturday. The game will kick off at 4 PM PT on ESPN from Berkeley.
The Cal media will hear from Justin Wilcox twice this week, at 1O AM on Tuesday after Wilcox's weekly KNBR interview (carried on 680 AM and 104.5 FM locally) and after practice Wednesday night. The Cal coordinators, Bill Musgrave and Peter Sirmon, will speak to the media Wednesday morning, while quarterback Chase Garbers and other players will speak to the media Tuesday and Wednesday after practice respectively.
Who: Vs. Oregon
Where: California Memorial Stadium, Berkeley, CA
When: December 5th, 2020, 4 PM Start
TV/Radio: ESPN/KGO 810
Notes:
- Cal will expect to get multiple players out of contact tracing protocol, as five players have been in the protocol for the last two games. Those include RT Jake Curhan, LT Will Craig, LG Valentino Daltoso, TE Collin Moore, and OLB Braxten Croteau
- DL Stanley McKenzie and WR/K Tommy Christakos are day to day on whether they'll be back, along with the five listed above. DL Ethan Saunders was ruled out for the year Tuesday.
- Cal has plenty of connections to their next opponent in Oregon, as Wilcox, Musgrave and Sirmon all played for the Ducks. In addition, the fathers of OLB Orin Patu and ILB Evan Tattersall played their college football in Eugene as well.
- In addition, Oregon safety Bennett Williams’ father Garey played at Cal from 1982 to 1985. Cal’s PJ Poutasi is the nephew of Oregon offensive lineman Sam Poutasi. Both Poutasi's were recruited by former Cal and Oregon OL coach Steve Greatwood
