Bevy of Bears offerees populate Rivals250
The day after the Rivals100 featured several high-profile Cal targets, the Rivals250 highlights even more potential future Bears.
Leading the way is four-star athlete and Cal offeree
George Atkinson III, who, with a 4.4-second 40-yard-dash time and some serious skills on both sides of the ball, checks in at No. 102 in the country.
Current USC commit
Victor Blackwell was ranked No. 107 as a four-star wide receiver.
Speaking of commits, the Bears' lone defensive commit thus far, four-star defensive tackle
Mustafa Jalil, comes in at No. 192, just ahead of four-star Cal inside linebacker offeree
Rob Hankins, a 6-foot-1, 219-pound all-muscle physical freak with a 4.5-second 40 out of
Dallas Parish Episcopal.Right ahead of that defensive duo is perhaps the most coveted offensive lineman in the state of California, the No. 125 player in the country, and little brother to the Bears'
Tyler Rigsbee, four-star offensive guard
Jordan Rigsbee.
At No. 143 overall is four-star weakside defensive end
Jason Gibson out of Gardena (Calif.) Serra, who just added a USC offer to a list that includes the Bears, Arizona, Arizona State, Florida, Miami (Fla.), Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford, UCLA, Washington and Washington State.
Coming in at No. 152 is four-star safety
Avery Walls out of McDonough (Ga.) Union Grove. Walls is one of the most sought-after safeties on the market this year, with 30 scholarship offers. Walls paid a visit to Berkeley the weekend that Jalil committed to the Bears, and loved the aggressiveness of the Cal defense after having viewed it up close
during a spring practice session. The No. 219-overall player is four-star tight end
Troy Niklas out of Anaheim Servite. Niklas, along with holding a scholarship offer from the Bears, also recently picked up offers from Florida and UCLA to go along with his collection that consists of Colorado, Nebraska, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, Oregon, Oregon State, Stanford and Tennessee.
Checking in at No. 246-overall is four-star wide receiver
Kasen Williams out of Sammamish (Wash.) Skyline, who has been rumored to have the Bears favored recently.
