Allensworth: If it was going to be anyone, I wanted it to be Coach Buh

According to multiple sources, 39-year-old Badgers assistant Andy Buh agreed in principle to be California's new defensive coordinator Saturday night, putting at least two current Bears commits at ease.
While at Wisconsin, Buh recruited both 4-star corner Darius Allensworth and 3-star defensive back Cameron Walker.

Walker told GoldenBearReport Sunday afternoon he couldn't be happier with head coach Sonny Dykes' choice.
"I'm actually really excited about it, I have a good relationship with him. If I would've gone to Wisconsin, he would've been one of big reasons."
Walker and Allensworth both made official visits to Wisconsin, Walker in November and Allensworth in October. Walker also hosted an in-home visit with Buh a couple weeks ago.
"I have a pretty good relationship with him," he said. "I actually had no idea he was even in the running, kind of a pleasant surprise. He's a great coach. I know he knows what he's doing, he has done really good things with his linebackers at Wisconsin."
Allensworth was equally pleased.
"If it was going to be anyone, I wanted it to be Coach Buh," Allensworth said Sunday night. "He's a great man, so if anyone, I would like for it to be him."
Allensworth called Buh a "players' coach" and said when and if the hire is official, he's a lock.
"If he's there (at Cal), I'm going there, no doubt in my mind."
Allensworth will make his official visit to Cal on January 25, less than two weeks before National Signing Day.
