Cal's been looking for immediate contributors at the wide receiver position, as they've hit the transfer market for a wideout, and they got one in former Michigan wideout Kekoa Crawford. Crawford visited Cal over the weekend, and will join Makai Polk and Jawaun Johnson in the receiver room next year.
Crawford was initially noted to be transferring from the Wolverines at the beginning of June, with it not being confirmed until he was off the roster at the beginning of August. In two years at Michigan, Crawford recorded 21 receptions for 290 yards and two touchdowns during his time in Ann Arbor.
With Crawford, the Bears have now added two FBS transfers in the span of four days, having added Devon Modster from UCLA (by way of Palomar College). Both should be eligible to play for the Bears in the fall of 2019, having transferred out before the start of the school year.
Crawford was a four-star (5.9) wide receiver coming out of Rancho Santa Margarita in the class of 2016, with 20 offers. He was listed at 6'2" and 195 lbs at Michigan, and is the third transfer from Michigan to Cal, joining Moe Ways and Ian Bunting in that category.
