Torrey Pines LB Louis Bickett Commits to Cal
Cal has another linebacker in their 2018 class, and it comes in the form of Louis Bickett, a linebacker from Torrey Pines HS in San Diego. Bickett was offered Tuesday, and committed Thursday evening. He chose Cal over an offer from Navy among others, and is rated a 2-star (5.4) by Rivals.
Bickett, the son of former USC and Indianapolis Colt Duane Bickett, provides a long body at the linebacker position, similar to what Cameron Goode currently provides at the Sam Linebacker spot. Bickett comes in with a similar build to Goode did, at 6'4" and 200 lbs, and has a number of the same attributes. He has long arms, which helps him to shed blocks. He can get downhill to make tackles in the hole. He looks instinctual, if not the most explosive player out there.
Bickett becomes the 17th commit in the 2018 class, as the Bears look to close out the cycle with a couple more linebackers to join Bickett, Colt Doughty, and Evan Tattersall at linebacker in the class.
