Tahomas star pulls the trigger

6-foot-8 Kent (Wash.) Tahoma senior Christian Behrens officially committed to the University of California basketball program just a matter of moments ago.
Behrens had limited time to speak, as he was going into a heavy training session and a school meeting later tonight, but he did take a moment to speak with BearTerritory before heading into the gym.

"I just felt like it was the right time," Behrens said. "It just felt right."
Behrens said that he will get back to BT tomorrow afternoon for a more full-length story.
Behrens visited Berkeley on Feb. 17 when the Bears faced USC, and though he was tempted to commit that very weekend, he went home and spoke to his family about it, and pulled the trigger today.
Behrens averaged 22 points and more than 10 boards per game for his Tahoma Bears, who finished 5-15. He also has a 30-inch vertical leap and an 80-inch wingspan.
