Four-star Cal ATH commit Lonny Powell finished up his high school bowl season with a bruising performance for the West squad at the Semper Fidelis All-American Bowl at the Home Depot Center in Carson, CA Sunday night.

Powell -- who played the entire game at running back -- finished with 11 carries for 36 yards, and 1 reception for 11 yards, picking up three first downs for the West, which trailed throughout.
Powell showed off the spin move special...
... a hard-nosed running style (the East needed a Clemson commit AND an Alabama commit to bring him down)...
... plus even got in on the action on special teams with a PUNISHING block on the first kickoff return of the second half as the West fell 24-3.
In the first half, Powell had eight touches for 18 yards and one reception for 11 yards, both team highs for rushing and receiving.
Committed to Cal since the first week of May, Powell -- who finished his senior season with 969 total yards of offense, 17 touchdowns, 95 tackles, 36 TFL, and 22 sacks -- also participated in the 58th Annual Sacramento Bee Optimist All-Star Classic in December.
