SAN FRANCISCO -- Fall camp is over. The finishing touches are being put onto the brand new California Memorial Stadium. The helmets are being polished, the laces tightened, pre-game iPod psych-up mixes are being compiled as we speak. It's football season, and the California Golden Bears are about to return home.
In this week's Bear Republic Podcast, the crew breaks down the Bears' opening day opponent - Nevada - in every which way possible. How will Cal defensive coordinator Clancy Pendergast stop the pistol? How will Jeff Tedford's offense look? Will the largely-new offensive line gel earlier this year than last? What kind of weapons does senior quarterback Zach Maynard have at his disposal?
We answer those questions and more in this first podcast of the 2012 football season.
