PG Don Coleman commits to Cal

Cal got their class of 2016 point guard on Friday night when Lawson State's Don Coleman committed to the Golden Bears. Coleman committed to Florida Atlantic out of high school and was a full qualifier, but chose to go to Junior College in the hope of reciving better offers. Looks like it paid off.

Cal offered the 6'4" Coleman in January, and the courtship was relatively swift from there. He held additional offers from Colorado State, Cleveland State, Georgia Southern, and Florida Atlantic. He was also being recruited by Auburn, Georgia and Iowa State.

This past season, Coleman averaged 19.9 points, 4.4 rebounds and 6.2 assists per game. He shot 47.7% from the field, 42.6% from beyond the arc and just under 77% from the free throw line. Lawson State finished 17-11.

Coleman will come to Cal will three years of eligibility remaining. He joins Tyson Jolly as Cal's second commitment of the 2016 class.
