Laris Becomes 5th Commit of Wild Week
Eastside Catholic (Sammamish, WA) wide receiver Matt Laris committed to Cal this evening, becoming Cal's 5th verbal commit of the week. He's the third wide receiver to commit this week, joining Logan Gamble and Drew Kobayashi. Like Gamble, Laris will play the Y spot.

Laris is 6'4" and 210 pounds, and excelled last season for Eastside Catholic in their state championship season. He caught 77 passes for nearly 1500 yards and 16 touchdowns. He unofficially visited Cal on Sunday.
Matt Laris is rated a 3-star (5.6) prospect, and is ranked the 8th best player in Washington for the class of 2016. He chose Cal over offers from Air Force, Boise State, Eastern Washington and Wyoming.
He is Cal's 12th verbal commit of the 2016 class.
