Kline told Oregon State coaches Monday he plans to transfer to OSU, according to the Portland Tribune.
Kline is expected to attend a JC during the winter and spring, transfer to OSU in either the summer of fall, sit out 2014, and then be eligible as a sophomore in 2015 according to the Trib.
Rivals No. 2 rated QB in the 2012 class, Kline played in six games for the Bears in 2013, completing 43 of 82 passes (52.4 percent) for 443 yards and three touchdowns with four interceptions.
His transfer leaves just two scholarship quarterbacks on the Bears roster -- not including Saguaro High quarterback Luke Rubenzer, who's currently committed to Cal. Of those two -- Austin Hinder and starting quarterback Jared Goff -- Hinder is expected to graduate in May and could also transfer and play immediately a la what Allan Bridgford did in 2013 when he transferred to and started for Southern Miss.
