Following his visit to California this weekend on the heels of his first Division I scholarship offer, Los Angeles (Calif.) Cathedral athlete Torry McTyer -- son of former BYU great and NFL defensive back Tim McTyer -- sat down with his family and decided to commit to Ron Gould and the Golden Bears.

This season, McTyer has proven to be LSU quarterback commit Hayden Rettig's favorite target, hauling in 18 passes for a team-high 378 yards and seven of Rettig's 20 touchdowns - tied for the most scoring grabs on the team.
McTyer will come in as an athlete, and is equally comfortable out wide and in the slot. On defense, he's made 14 tackles, one sack, one interception returned 42 yards and has defended six passes as a defensive back. He's also returned two kickoffs for 158 total yards.
Stay tuned for more from McTyer!
