2017 SF Justice Sueing Commits to Cal

It may have been National Signing Day for football, but Cuonzo Martin and company landed a player of their own, securing a commitment from Mater Dei small forward Justice Sueing. Sueing, a 3-star recruit, had offers from St. Mary's, Utah, and Hawaii. Sueing visited Cal over the weekend, taking in the Stanford game, which apparently helped to sway his decision. Sueing joins Jemarl Baker and Juhwan Harris-Dyson in the 2017 class for the Bears.

The biggest need going forward for the Bears was wings. Cal has three senior wings in Jabari Bird, Stephen Domingo, and Roger Moute a Bidias, that they need to replace, and Sueing is the ideal candidate to do so. The lefty Sueing can drive, finish with either hand, or spot up from beyond the arc. His shooting stroke isn't picturesque, but he's currently hit 40% of his three pointers on the year for Mater Dei.

Sueing is currently leading Mater Dei this season, averaging 17.6 ppg, 7 rpg, 2 apg, and 1.7 spg while shooting 57% from the field and 74% from the FT line.
