Cal 67, Washington State 54: Stat of the Night

29: This was a toss-up. The Bears hit 28-of-36 from the free throw line (which was big), but for a team that started the year with a 7-to-8 man rotation, is missing both Ricky Kreklow (foot) and Brandon Smith (concussion), and started two players with a combined one career start between them, points for Cal's bench were the bigger story. The pine-riders accounted for almost half of the Bears final tally in a 67-54 win over Washington State. Tyrone Wallace led the bench scorers with 16 on 4-of-8 shooting, plus the Bears got seven from Richard Solomon and five from Bak Bak. The second unit also chipped in 16 rebounds -- the same number as the starting unit.
