Goff Watch: Breaking down every snap for Jared vs. Arizona

Jared Goff was both the reason Cal almost won, and invariably lost Saturday's most winnable FBS game of the season: a 33-28 defeat at the hands of visiting Arizona in Berkeley.

He threw four touchdown passes, the most of his career. He kept the Bears within two touchdowns of the Wildcats for a full 60 minutes. And he gave Cal its first lead since November 7th.

But the first-ever true freshman to start a season opener for the Bears also heaved two crushing fourth quarter interceptions, leading to a 14-point swing and the final nail in Cal's very crowded 2013 coffin.

We kept a +/- on every snap the former Marin Catholic quarterback played on Saturday, and despite the heart-breaking loss, the touchdown-tossing Goff actually had his best +/- of the season against a Pac-12 opponent and his second best overall, second only to his performance against Portland State.
