Wyomissing (Pa.) linebacker Alex Anzalone pretty much could have named which school he wanted to go to with offers from coast-to-coast but on Saturday under the backdrop of the Ohio State spring game the four-star prospect made his choice for the Buckeyes.

The 6-foot-3, 220 pound linebacker initially was thought to be a heavy lean to Florida but he cancelled his visit this weekend to Gainesville (Fla.) and opted to check out the Buckeyes over the Fighting Irish and the Nittany Lions. The choice of visits was a telling sign of where Anzalone was leaning.

Rivals.com rates Anzalone as the No. 16 inside linebacker in the nation but it is believed that he is a candidate to move up when the rankings get updated in the coming weeks.

The newest Buckeye is Ohio State's first commit in the class of 2013 from the Keystone State and likely will be the only player in the class from Pennslyvania. The Buckeyes took five linebackers in the class of 2012 so it is not expected that Ohio State will look to take more than one more linebacker in this upcoming class.

We will have more on this breaking news including reaction from the new Buckeye on this exciting day for the future of the Buckeye program.
