Ducks intrigue Rivals100 DE

Oregon had quite a haul on the defensive line in the class of 2012, earning DL coach Jerry Azzinaro recognition as a national Top 25 recruiter. This year the Ducks are looking to repeat that performance, and one of their top 2013 targets at defensive end is Placer, California standout Eddie Vanderdoes.

Duck Sports Authority caught up with the 6-foot-4, 285-pound athlete to get the latest on his recruitment, starting with simply confirming his interest in Oregon.

"I definitely have a lot of interest in the Ducks," replied Vanderdoes. "I've always liked them and watched them play. I have heard they have really nice facilities. I would like to see that. I met Coach Azzinaro. He came to my campus one day. He is a lot like my d-line coach from having talked to him. Oregon definitely intrigues me."

The nation's No. 21-ranked recruit also has interest in other Pac-12 schools. DSA asked about those.
