High pace highlights Thursday practice

The practice was at a very good pace yesterday. It still needs to be more consistent and habitual, but it is getting there. It was a good day for a motivated practice where prospects can see where the program is going since there were more than a few headliners taking in the shorts only practice.

Future Bruins, Randall Carroll, Ricky Marvray, Jayson Allmond and Stanjarivus McKay were there.

On the prospect front class of 2010 four-star Robert Woods from Gardena (Calif.) Serra made his second practice. Fast rising corner Joshua Shaw from Palmdale, Calif., showed up and took in practice.

While I didn't see playmaking wide receiver, Kaelin Clay from Long Beach (Calif.) Poly on hand, the word he was at practice, too.

Class of 2011 wide receiver standout, George Farmer from Gardena (Calif.) Serra was also at practice.

Bruin signee, Randall "O.C." Carroll has run a 10.5 this track season and that is smoking. Look for him to have an even faster time once the state meet rolls around. He told BruinBlitz.com he can't wait to get to UCLA in June to start to compete.

These are good tidings Bruin fans. Slowly, but surely this program is rising up and drawing interest from players that will help UCLA play from the big prizes. Troy wasn't burnt in a day.
