Neuheisel likes what he sees

It is now on and that means the Bruins are one day closer to game day. The Bruins had a solid day of work on Thursday as they prepared for Tennessee. The pieces appear to be coming together, but still this team is far from the finished product. This coaching staff 10 days to prepare this team and then it's Showtime.

UCLA Rick Neuheisel met with the media and was very complementary about his team and how it is taking shape. Neuheisel talks about depth charts and the scheduled scrimmage on Saturday.

Neuheisel: "I thought it was a very, very good practice today. I think both sides of the ball improved. As I said to the demonstration players, it's the best I have ever seen for the first day of scouts. I thought they all went in there and it is a credit to everyone involved, players and coaches alike, it was really well done so if we can get more of it and improve from this point, we will have a chance to be a team, or at least be the best we can be."

Was the intensity level any higher now that you are installing Tennessee stuff?

Neuheisel: "I felt it was. I felt guys came back with great energy considering they came off of two a days."
