Hagan eyes major role for Cal in 2007

For the second consecutive season, the Cal football team will have a new starter at the cornerback position. Who exactly that player is has yet to be determined. One thing people do know though is that freshman Darian Hagan will be right in the thick of things vying for that honor once fall camp kicks off in August. BearTerritory caught up with Hagan for a Q&A.

Coming out of Crenshaw high school in 2006, Hagan was rated by Rivals.com as one of the top-15 players in the state of California and one the country's top-20 defensive backs as well. Holding scholarship offers from Colorado, UCLA, Arizona, Oklahoma and many others, Hagan delighted the Cal faithful by deciding to join Bears head coach Jeff Tedford and his program in the Bay Area.
