Pitt hoops and the NBA draft
Last week the NBA held their annual draft in New York. Some observers felt this draft class was much deeper than most. Eight of the to 21 picks spent only one year in college under the NBA's new rule which prohibits drafting players right out of high school.
Six of the top seven players in the final Rivals.com's Class of 2006 entered the NBA draft, and all six were selected in the first 19 picks.
Sixty players were drafted over two rounds and 13 of these players were international players meaning only 47 were selected from the college ranks.
