Goff combined to throw for 7,687 yards and 93 touchdowns with 18 interceptions in three varsity seasons at Marin Catholic High, helping his team to a 39-4 overall record, a 20-1 Marin County League mark, and three MCL championships during that span.
Goff's 2012 squad was the Division III state runner up after winning North Coast Section and Marin Catholic
League titles during a 14-2 season.
"I'm honored to get the chance to start for Cal and am looking forward to going out and helping the team win," Goff said in a statement. "I'm super excited and ready to get rolling. My competitors are great quarterbacks as well. It was a tremendous competition that has helped all us become better quarterbacks."
